Bought this impact driver and was amazed. I bout two of these, and both smelled like that until I used them over a couple of hours.
DeWalt tools are far superior to any other tool on the market. Packaging should be the same as what is found in a retail store, unless the item is handmade or was packaged by the manufacturer in non-retail packaging, such as an unprinted box or plastic bag.

If you are not familiar with how an impact-driver works, essentially this tool allows you to drive screws into the toughest of materials with almost imact effort at all. This is the strongest impact-driver you'll find around, and for a great price!

Don't need to worry about the tool tipping over when a bit is in the chuck; like some other tools. I'm no professional, but I use it all the time around the house for my small projects.

What a real pain to take apart the driver, remove the bit, and get it back together without loosing the locking ball bearing.
