Ryan, I know the feeling - I hate the thought of having to manually raaid it haha. The price may be the seller's own price elsewhere or another seller's price.
No ratings or reviews yet. Certainly you can't beat the price. However, you may be right about slower performance - as pory say; you get what you pay for. Perhaps that is why they are on ebay?

SATA RAID 6-port suggestions? Adaptec SA? - CentOS
Those features were the sole cause of my purchase and I can't figure out how to actually utilize them. Apparently they are almost identical to the SA.

From what I've read, you need some sort of utility to manage it through the OS, however, Adaptec wont cough one up as the card is OEM nor will Dell as theyre just freaking clueless as usual. Newer cards better but pricier. No problems with CentOS. If an accessory is not shown in the photos it is not included in what you will receive. Credit Card Accepted Through.

Issues related to hardware problems. The only thing to be aware of is that it apparently has a 2TB limit for Raid.
